THE DEN10: DECEMBER 11

Can things just go back to normal please? Apparently they can't until the cluster of this weekend's rescheduled events combined with what was an already very busy weekend finishes up. The good news is that we won’t have to use our Yaktrax or 4 wheel drive for another three years because this is Texas. This past weekend also proved once again that if you want precipitation to fall from the sky (either frozen or not) just plan a large scale outdoor event that depends on good weather.

THE DEN10: OCTOBER 23

If you were to ask the city of Denton what it's favorite holiday was it would undoubtedly say Halloween. This city loves this holiday. Part of the reason may be that it's the one that all the students and townies are all in for. Maybe it's the chance for a town full of creatives to go nuts on their costumes. Well here's to the month of Halloween and everything that comes with it - which happens to be a whole slew of season related events. Don't forget to hashtag #WDDI to get posted in our What We Did post on Monday.

THE DEN10: AUGUST 28

Here we go again. Another semester and another list of the top ten things we think you should be checking out this week. There's something in the air in Denton as the summer closes out. The sleepy, dusty town fills up with new faces and is bursting at the seams with potential and enthusiasm. It really is a great time to be a part of this city, and we encourage you to do just that week after week. Get involved, show up, be present, get off your phone and Facebook and get out there. If not, you'll end up in a very tiny little boring bubble in the ocean of creative activity that is the town you are in.

THE DEN10: AUGUST 7th

Well, it finally decided to get hot. Right as we're beginning to stare down the beginning of the school year and wind this Summer of 2013 down properly. We saw a lot of folks braving the 100+ degrees at the DCTA Food Truck Tuesday event yesterday. We were out there too, and decided to chilled our burning innards with Cucumber Lemonade from The Pickled Carrot. We've had it lucky this summer with enough mild days spent at the beach, Community Market and sipping on Greenhouse Ale at Oak Street Draft House that I suppose it's time to pay our dues as true Texans and Dentonites and be out in the heat a little. It just wouldn't feel like summer without it. So now that we've sweat a little, is it too early to be checking out the J Crew Fall Holiday Lookbook 2013? Everyone loves sweater weather, right?
