Ever been to a pop-up dinner? More over, ever heard of a pop-up dinner? The events are normally one-offs in which facilities become restaurants for one night only and feature special food prepared by up and coming chefs. Pop-up dinners are gaining in popularity across the country and you have a chance to check one out in Denton this week! On November 9th at Denton County Brewing Company there will be a pop-up dinner featuring the food of Chef Chad Kelley from Barley and Board that will be paired with beers selected by Seth Morgan of Denton County Brewing Company. Read on to find out more info on this great Denton dining opportunity.
The theme of Kelley's four course pop-up dinner is "Best thanksgiving we ever had." With that, you can expect everything from beef short ribs to cornbread stuffed quail to hand-selected beers by the brewer's owner. Kelley added that pop-up dinners sprouted up in the North Texas area about five to six years ago as more of an underground thing.
"It's a once-in-a-lifetime event," Kelley said, "We'll never replicate the food again. It will be a very unique experience."
A four course beer dinner will be personally prepared by Chef Kelley on site, paired with Denton County house brews. You can reserve your seat for $65.00 here.
Doors open at 7:00 pm Denton County Brewing Company on 200 E McKinney St.
With this being the first dinner hosted out of the brewery, Kelley says it will a fun experience and a great night in cool little place. We hope this leads to even more pop-up dinners in Denton's future!
