The lovely ladies over at The Monthly Junk are two of the funniest people we know. We last heard from them with their Girl Ghost Getters video last Fall. Well, they're back and they have just reviewed all of the crazy things that happened in Denton during the month of January. They're calling it "We Did It, Denton!" Check out the video below to see how Sarah Adams and Maggie Rieth Austin think Denton did during the month of January.

As a reward for your voting today, we are sharing an awesome drone video from last month's Coffin Races created by Nick Wood. Wood is a local videographer (and sometimes photographer) that creates short videos for companies for promotional use. With this video, Wood hoped to, "give a visual representation of the type of community our city has and how so many of our local business help support one another. " To create the video, Wood first got permission from the city to use his registered DJI Phantom 3 drone and then flew it all over the place during the coffin races. If you saw a white shape floating in the sky that day, it was probably him. Click through to watch his video!

Since this month is so spooky, we figured we would put together a few "paranormal" videos with a Denton connection. Submitted for your approval are three videos featuring paranormal investigators of all sorts EVP-ing their way through different parts of town. We have local comedy duo, The Monthly Junk, the Denton Area Paranormal Society, and Youtube SilkOlive with an in depth video breakdown of the tale of the Goatman's Bridge.

Every month we like to share a few Denton-centric videos that have been on our screens lately. Since this month saw the end of J and J's Ol' Dirty Basement (You can read our thoughts on the subject here), we would take a look back at a bit of a history of the space through video. Below you will find a few recent videos from J and J's final month (including Kim Nall and Matt Farmer) in addition to a bunch of videos dating all the way back to 1997 when that same space was actually a Mr. Gatti's Pizza. There's a video we produced a while back featuring Julian Lynch, a video of a Wee Beasties "Christmas Show" from 2003 (featuring a very young Richard Haskins), and even a low-quality recording of classic Denton band Jet Screamer in the same space that probably 70% of those of you that are reading these words have at one point stood and played music in at one point or another.

Friday's can sometimes be the doldrums at work. If you work in an office, you're probably sneaking in some Reddit or Youtube time (or your personal favorite time waster) in between spreadsheets and .psd's. Heck, maybe you work retail and have to do all of that on your mobile device. Maybe you're actually getting work done (bless you, hard worker). We're gonna focus on the lazy ones, though. Here are three local videos for your watching pleasure.

This year, we once again had the chance to produce the video for United Way's 2015 Campaign. Below you can find that video featuring scenes from all over Denton County.
United Way Denton County is a locally governed organization that has been helping our community since 1951. Their mission is to improve lives in Denton County and they do a darned good job of it. We've featured a couple of the ways they do this in the video below. This year's campaign is focused on mental health, an issue that has touched the lives of many and one that most everyone can get behind.
We were honored to partner in creating this year's video because we want to continue to see our community thrive by highlighting the work being done and at the same time expressing how much more remains to be accomplished. You, too, can give, advocate and volunteer to help make the Denton community a better place at unitedwaydenton.org.
