The lovely ladies over at The Monthly Junk are two of the funniest people we know. We last heard from them with their Girl Ghost Getters video last Fall. Well, they're back and they have just reviewed all of the crazy things that happened in Denton during the month of January. They're calling it "We Did It, Denton!" Check out the video below to see how Sarah Adams and Maggie Rieth Austin think Denton did during the month of January.

It is officially Friday. You've either got the day off for Good Friday, or you're stuck at work counting down the hours. Either way, take a quick break, grab some caffeine and watch the five videos we have for you below. We've got a new tune from Sarah Jaffe, some Denton drone footage, music for mandated state testing (the best kind of music), Wesley Jensen at the Chairy Orchard, and a video from a locally-made comedy series. Every Friday that falls on a day that is a prime number when two is subtracted from it, we like to highlight three videos that deal with Denton. Anyway, click through for newest from Denton Staged, a documentary on a interesting housing development from yesteryear, and an interview with a man who claims he was a victim of police brutality in Denton. Enjoy your weekend, Denton.
The newest from Denton Staged in which Camp David plays an acoustic tune at the corner of Fry and Hickory.
Whitehawk Valley is a gated development just north of Denton. It was built in the 70's as a "platform to build and market zero energy affordable neighborhoods," and is still around today, but a little different. Preserve Denton recently put the above documentary from the 80's about the community on Youtube and we love it.
Jason Wayne Bishop (also known as "Pooh") was recently arrested and is now claiming that he is a victim of police brutality. Denton Record Chronicle has the story and it involves a jailer who is currently on leave. Bishop's friends have recently created a FB page called Justice for Jason that recorded the above video interview.
