We went through the entire year of 2016 posts on We Denton Do It and pulled a few of our favorite images from the past year. Looking back, one thing we can't ignore is the fact that we have a bunch of talented photographers in Denton capturing awesome moments on their phones, DSLRs, and film cameras. Also, we eat and drink too much probably.
If you ask us, a long post full of big pretty photos is probably our favorite type of post. We figured you'd dig it too. Click on most of the photos below to be led back to that photographer's Instagram account, or click on the links to reread some of our favorite pieces from the past year.
Here's John B. Denton (AKA @dentonaut in this case) sleeping at his own grave on Denton County's 170th Anniversary. Didn't they dig him up a few years ago, though?
Here's our Photoshopped version of Edward Hopper's famed painting, Nighthawks, from our piece on finding solitude at Panda Express. We mostly just wanted to include it to point out the name at the top of the diner because that took Will like fifteen whole minutes to create and you might have missed it the first time and he keeps bringing it back up.
@thevisionbeautiful created this image of Leoncarlo Canlas for his album, Still Forms, earlier in the year. Check out our thoughts on the album here.
2016 was a year of change for Denton atelier, @wilkinsontx. You can read more about his changes and upcoming store in our article on him from last August.
@betweenthepixels and @andy07 with some enlarged instant film from their Oaktopia promotional video. Check it out here.
2016 also made us very excited for KUZU. Here's an image of Daniel Markham playing a fundraiser for the upcoming radio station at Harvest House. Read more about KUZU here. Photo by @wedentondoit.
@dentonaut with a photo of a protest at the confederate monument on the square. Wanna know a little more about the history of the statue? Click here.
