We went through the entire year of 2015 posts on We Denton Do It and pulled a few of our favorite images from the past year. Looking back, one thing we can't ignore is the fact that we have a bunch of talented photographers in Denton capturing awesome moments on their phones, DSLRs, and film cameras. Also, we eat and drink too much probably.
If you ask us, a long post full of big pretty photos is probably our favorite type of post. We figured you'd dig it too. Click on most of the photos below to be led back to that photographer's Instagram account, or click on the links to reread some of our favorite pieces from the past year.

2015 brought some attention to the confederate soldier statue in front of the courthouse in downtown Denton. After lots of attention was brought to race relations in the nation, someone spray painted "This is racist" in red letters on the top of the infamous statue. Afterwards, the statue became the subject of lots of attention with lots of internet arguments that we all had to read through. In addition, there were lots of face-to-face arguments. The above photo from @shopdenton showcases local businessman, Willie Hudspeth, protesting the statue's placement and Stephen Passariello counter protesting while simultaneously open-carrying.
This year saw plenty of new businesses opening up in Denton. One of our favorites is The Bearded Monk on McKinney St. Here's a photo from Preciosa Johnson from our piece about them last fall.

Banter closed up and was quickly replaced by 940's. We absolutely love the food and drinks at the new place. Here's a photo from our preview of the space last fall.
The "A Certain Mr. Rose" cocktail at 940's is one of the best in town. Check out more photos from 940's and our thoughts on the space here.
The Lacy cocktail at Barley and Board is another one of our faves. Check out more from our preview of the space here.
Pizza Snob started slingin' dough late last summer on the ground floor of the H2 apartment complex on Hickory and quickly won a space in our hearts with their candied jalapeno and sausage combination. Check out our review of the place here.
We had a fundraiser for the new Eureka playground in the form of a Cannonball Contest/Pool Party at the end of the summer of 2015.
We'll end with this shot from Denton Music Workshop's Recital at Harvest House.
