Glen went to New York this morning. So we're writing this intro for him. What does he normally say in here? Howsabout that weather? Have you seen the latest college football scores? Remember when I used to wear denim a lot? If you buy me a hamburger today, I'll buy you five hamburgers next Tuesday. That's what he normally writes in here, isn't it?
Either way, he still compiled a few great events that are happening this week that just so happen to be worthy of your precious time. Check them out below and share some photos of them with us on Instagram! We love to see what you're up to.

We’ll have a line-up of other local Halloween events next week, but first let’s have a gander at a few of Denton’s top haunted places that you can easily explore… if you dare.

WHAT TO SEE AT THIS YEAR'S MINI MAKER FAIRE
The Denton Mini Maker Faire is a family friendly, educational event happening this Saturday at the Denton Civic Center. DMMF allows attendees to see some of behind the scenes processes that makers of all sorts of things (electronics, jewelry, art, drones, etc...) go through in order to create. The event is basically a celebration of all things inventive and resourceful. You could probably throw in the term "nerdy" in there and you wouldn't be wrong, but that isn't a bad thing at all. Read on to find what out the Denton Mini Maker Faire is and why it should be on your "to do list" for this weekend.

A few tips for people getting to their office at 4:45AM to prepare a top ten event list for a local blog: make sure your office’s alarm is functioning properly. Maybe you triggered some alarm that’s not audible. This is a common occurrence for you but maybe somethings off because of some renovations that were just completed. You might have even put on some headphones and were enjoying some Erik Satie in preparation for UNT On The Square’s event next week commemorating his 150th birthday. Even with headphones on, you noticed the slight shift in the air indicating the side door was just pulled open. At that time you think “This is why I carry this pocketknife." Opening the blade while simultaneously pulling off your headphones you creep around the corner and look up to find yourself looking down the barrel of a couple of .45’s held by body armored Denton Police Officers. You may or may not need to clean your shorts. We are awake. Very, very, very, ridiculously awake. Hashtag your photos #WDDI and be thankful your alive. That’s what this is all about, right?
Questions comments and clean shorts can be sent to glen@wedentondoit.com.

WHERE YOU SHOULD BE TACO-ING IN DENTON
Today is one of our favorite ridiculous made-up holidays: National Taco Day. As if we needed an excuse to eat food wrapped in tortillas. Is this how the Irish feel on St. Patrick's Day? Oh well, we better get in the spirit. If you're looking to celebrate National Taco Day, but you aren't sure how, we've got some information for you. We've written about a few of our favorite taco joints (there's no good alliteration for a term that means "taco place") in the hopes that you will frequent these establishments and enjoy the meaty goodness that awaits you there.
