Today, marks the third annual Bootstrap Denton. The networking event is put on every year by Denton non-profit group, TechMill. TechMill has been working hard for the past few years to make Denton a great place for tech startups and other independent or creative businesses to take root and BootStrap is their annual event to showcase the folks that are actually working their butts off to put Denton on the map as a tech hub in North Texas.
TechMill's presence in Denton might not be able to be seen visibly, but can easily be felt in the Denton community. Heck, I guess if you were to look at an actual timeline of awesome events that have happened in Denton over the past few years, THEN it might be able to be seen visibly. The point it, these dudes have managed to spur some movement in the community that has created many actual businesses.
Attendees of Bootstrap Denton can expect “lightning talks” from local tech leaders, food trucks, drinks, and live t-shirt printing by Pan Ector. Additionally, there will be free drinks (limited, mind you) and great company/conversation.
Sponsors for this year's Bootstrap Denton include TechMill, Stoke, Ready Rosie, Pan Ector, Kubos, From the Future, Square 205, Draw Attention, and Blue Steele.
Bootstrap Denton will be held on Thursday, October 6th at 6:30pm at Stoke, Denton's newest co-working space that fosters entrepreneurship and technical innovation. Stoke is located at 608 E Hickory Street, Suite 128 in what we know call "The Railyard."
Heck, if you're a tech-minded person and are looking for a tech-related job (or if you are someone looking to hire techy folk) there is no better place for you to be tomorrow evening than Bootstrap Denton. If you plan on attending, please register at the following link.
