What We Did is our weekly look into the visual captures that people have taken and documented on Instagram along with the hashtag #WDDI. Every week, we comb through hundreds of images to try and find a few that are not only fun photos, but also provide a great look at what the City of Denton was like during that week. This week is no different.
Oh wait, this week is a little different in that we have a couple contest winners to announce...
Last week, we announced on social media that we were giving away a few tickets to this week's Oaktopia Festival. We had tons of entries. Below are the winners.
@_kendrarenae and @ronjeesus. Congrats! You have both won passes to this year's Oaktopia festival. We will be in contact with you for more information.
If you didn't win, fret not. Oaktopia still has tickets available. You can grab yours here. We'll have plenty more on Oaktopia this week. Until then, check out the 19 great images below from the past seven days of life in Denton, TX.

Brand Stanton is the creator of the force of nature that is Humans of New York. The New York-based photo blog gained popularity due to the emotional and intriguing quotes and interviews that accompanied the images (not to mention their sharable nature). You've undoubtedly seen them before. Heck, you've probably shared a couple of them yourself.
The fine folks at UNT's Fine Arts Series are bringing Stanton to Denton this month. Next Wednesday at 7pm, Stanton will be at the UNT Coliseum talking about the nature of his work in an evening called Humans of New York: An Evening with Brandon Stanton. Read on for more info and to check out some of our favorite HONY posts.

Below you will find a few Arts and Autos photos by We Denton Do It and some images from readers that tagged their Instagram photos with #WDDI.

Denton has a lot of festivals. And while Oaktopia is about to cause all sorts of ruckus in a few weeks, we really enjoy the smaller ones. KDB's Redbud Festival and Denton Main Street's Arts and Autos events are two of our favorite Saturday mornings in Denton year in and year out. This Saturday just so happens to be one of those Saturdays. Arts and Autos (no more antiques - more on that later) is taking over the Denton square this Saturday morning from 9am until 3pm. Yes, the downtown Denton square will be cleared of cars to make room for...tons of cars! Check out some of our favorite aspects of the event in the post below so you can make the most of your time there!
