WHAT WE DID: SEPTEMBER 19TH 2016

What We Did is our weekly look into the visual captures that people have taken and documented on Instagram along with the hashtag #WDDI. Every week, we comb through hundreds of images to try and find a few that are not only fun photos, but also provide a great look at what the City of Denton was like during that week. This week is no different.

Oh wait, this week is a little different in that we have a couple contest winners to announce...

Last week, we announced on social media that we were giving away a few tickets to this week's Oaktopia Festival. We had tons of entries. Below are the winners.

@_kendrarenae and @ronjeesus. Congrats! You have both won passes to this year's Oaktopia festival. We will be in contact with you for more information.

If you didn't win, fret not. Oaktopia still has tickets available. You can grab yours here. We'll have plenty more on Oaktopia this week. Until then, check out the 19 great images below from the past seven days of life in Denton, TX.

Click on the image to be led back to the photographer's Instagram account. If you'd like to be featured in What We Did, take a "good" photo and tag it with #WDDI on Instagram.

This past weekend was the Denton Blues Festival. Here's a photo of some festival accoutrements from @geekyexplorers.

Both @GlenFarris and @alymstevenson shared and tagged this shot, but @GlenFarris' had a tighter crop and a bit too much contrast, so we're sharing the version that @alymstevenson posted of this shot at the Juicy Pig mural (even though @glenfarris probably took it).

Denton has really stepped up its used mattress game lately. Here's a Spogebob one from @roybetter. Spongebob sure is creepy at night.

@bradholt says that the grilled cheese from the new Leila's food truck is not to be missed. We will check it out ASAP.

@stellar_yogi doing some partner acrobatic yoga with her dog. @dentonacroyoga
