WHAT WE DID: SEPTEMBER 5TH 2016

We hope you are spending your Labor Day working on nothing more than finishing your movie marathon, grilling a pile of meats, or getting in your last swim of the season. We're just looking forward to when it gets cold enough outside that we don't have to mow our lawn every single weekend.

What We Did is our weekly roundup of a few of our favorite photos that were tagged with #WDDI on Instagram in the past week. They give us a great snapshot of what life was like in Denton during that time.

Below are 20 photos from the past seven days of life in Denton, TX including college football, live music, donuts, and people doing whatever they can to not melt.

If you'd like to be included in What We Did, tag your images with #WDDI on Instagram, and check back here next Monday. Search the hashtag #WDDI and check out all of the other photos that we were unable to include this week. Click the images below to be led back to the photographer's Instagram page where you can follow them and inevitably slide into their DM's.

3 SONGS: AUGUST 2016

Colder weather will be here eventually, y’all, and frankly, we’re getting excited. As you trade in those bikinis and swim trunks for peacoats and comically large scarves, you might find yourself looking for tunes to listen to on a lazy rainy day inside, a quiet walk through campus, or to help you get through that unexpected break-up you just went through. In this month’s 3 Songs column, our place to showcase great new music, we’ve branched out a little from our normal Denton-centric content and pulled together several tracks that’ll scare the summer right out of Texas, so plug in your headphones and get ready for some alt-country from Space Mountain, Pablo Maeda and Moonbeamer.

A YOGA MOMENT WITH LIZ: WTF IS YOGA?

Alright, y’all. Maybe you’ve noticed the multitude of yoga studios around downtown or perhaps you’ve been driving by the square and witnessed bodies twisting and contorting together on the Courthouse lawn. What the heck is going on and what is this “yoga” that seems to have invaded our wonderful city? I’m Liz King – a Denton native and manager and teacher at Authentic Yoga Life – and I’m here to break down this whole yoga thing and WTF it actually means for our Denton community.

WHAT WE DID: AUGUST 29TH 2016

The college kids are officially back now, y'all. Murder Kroger is dangerous even past 10pm and Elm and Locust are both lawless zones where street signs mean nothing. Between that and all of the construction all across Denton, if Mad Max and some War Boys drove into town, we wouldn't even bat an eye. Just be careful out there, folks.

What We Did is our weekly roundup of a few of our favorite photos that have been tagged with #WDDI in the past week on Instagram.
