There’s not a severe winter storm warning powerful enough to ice our hearts after seeing yesterday’s Dr. Who and TARDIS on the Square comic book cover. It’s on sale March 18th at More Fun Comics & Games so until then, you’ve got a real responsibility to survive winter weather smack-down round three that’s about to hit our quaint village. We recommend indoor activities that include libations, hot soups and a Friends / Netflix marathon in between the top ten events we’re listing here.
Questions comments and soup recipes may be directed towards glen@wedentondoit.com.

Blah, blah, blah...Texas weather is fickle or something - ice then sunshine then snow then ice. We get it. Y'all get it. We still love ya, though, Texas - weather mood swings withstanding. Either way, last week had a lot to offer. There was some spot-on cuddle weather, lots of rain, and plenty of snowfights. Anybody get a bloody nose from a snowball?

You can click the images themselves, to be linked back to that photographer's Instagram page. Hickory and Fry serves kangaroo nachos, y'all. And they aren't just some sort of gimmick. These are legitimate, tasty as hell fried wontons with kangaroo and habañero jam on top. We, having never tasted kangaroo before (the closest we came was watching Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome), had our minds blown upon taking a bite of these. The meat is extremely tender - almost creamy and the homemade habañero jam cuts right through it to create one of our new favorite dishes in Denton. And that's just one thing Hickory and Fry has to offer.

Ice day’s just aren’t the same as when we were younger. Sure, sleeping in a little because you're trapped sure ain’t bad, but a few hours after you’ve organized the kitchen pantry it starts to set in that there's serious work to do. Work that you actually sort of miss doing. Work that allows you to take part in all the other neat things our city offers like Mini Akon 8 which is happening this week. There’s also Service Industry and Muddy Jakes that both should be open for business this week. Go check out those places and if you know what’s good for you, you'll try the chicken and waffles from Service Industry.

Thin Line kicked off the 2015 festival season with a bang. The Dallas Morning News called it, "the best North Texas festival you've probably never heard of," and Jason Lee apparently wants to move here because we're all so awesome. It's been a good couple of days with something for everyone. There were rap shows at Hailey's, great music at Dan's Silverleaf, photo galleries all around town, and tons of documentaries and short films with many of the actual filmmakers present. Below, are a bunch of photos tagged with #WDDI on Instagram (from both y'all and We Denton Do It contributors). Check them out for some instant nostalgia from the weekend.
