WHAT WE DID: MARCH 9TH 2015

35 Denton is back this week, y'all! While many folks are already on spring break, it won't start for most Denton students for another 7 days and the rest of us will just sit around and be envious at our 9 - 5's.

Last week had a little bit of everything. There was snowfall, live music, sunshine and lots of trucks (and even a helicopter) to touch. Below, we have 18 photos that showcase the best of what Denton, TX had to offer over the past seven days.

Include #WDDI on your Instagram photos and we'll include our favorites in What We Did every Monday morning. Heck, next Saturday, we're even hosting an Instawalk as part of 35 Denton next Saturday. Come hang out with us as we make our way from Shift to the 35 Denton festival. More info here. As for the photos below, you can click on them to get linked back to the photographer's Instagram account. Have a great week!

BACK IN THE DAY: THE GREAT BLUE NORTHER OF 1911

Great jumpin’ Jack Frost it’s cold! Since Texans take to driving on ice about as well as a drunken elephant to water-skiing, most have wisely hunkered down as our last few days of sleet, snow, and ice have caught up with us. It got me to thinking about the Great Blue Norther of 1911, which makes our whining about cold sound plain silly compared to this freeze back in the day.

WHAT WE DID: MARCH 2ND 2015

Blah, blah, blah...Texas weather is fickle or something - ice then sunshine then snow then ice. We get it. Y'all get it. We still love ya, though, Texas - weather mood swings withstanding. Either way, last week had a lot to offer. There was some spot-on cuddle weather, lots of rain, and plenty of snowfights. Anybody get a bloody nose from a snowball?

What We Did is our weekly roundup of our favorite photos that were tagged #WDDI on Instagram from the past seven days. You can click the images themselves, to be linked back to that photographer's Instagram page. We normally try to keep these posts below 20 photos, but y'all had so many great images this past week (over 500 images were tagged #WDDI), we had to bend our little rule. Let's get on to the photos, then!

WHAT WE DID: SPECIAL THIN LINE 2015 EDITION

Thin Line kicked off the 2015 festival season with a bang. The Dallas Morning News called it, "the best North Texas festival you've probably never heard of," and Jason Lee apparently wants to move here because we're all so awesome. It's been a good couple of days with something for everyone. There were rap shows at Hailey's, great music at Dan's Silverleaf, photo galleries all around town, and tons of documentaries and short films with many of the actual filmmakers present. Below, are a bunch of photos tagged with #WDDI on Instagram (from both y'all and We Denton Do It contributors). Check them out for some instant nostalgia from the weekend.
