Who knew, a beautiful, stunning and (almost) 360 degree view of our beloved town has been collecting cobwebs on the 8th top floor of the historical Wells Fargo building on the corner of Hickory St and Locust? As of the last month, the top floor has been contracted to be transformed into a restaurant dubbed Sunago Bell which should open by next summer. You may soon find yourself dining on Mediterranean-influenced cuisine and admiring Denton’s landmarks such as the courthouse and TWU towers, from on high. Local burger joint and outdoor music venue, LSA Burger Co, recently held their second annual live mural painting event. The event sees local artists painting new artwork over spaces on the widely-seen wall space of the second story outdoor patio of the popular restaurant. This year, LSA added pieces from Dan Black, Matthew Long, Zarina Kay, Gracie Piper, Malcolm Byers, Melanie Little Gomez, and Des Smith. LOCAL RESTAURANTS IN DFW RESTAURANT WEEK
Restaurant Week may have an uninspired name, but it sure has become a force in the DFW food scene. Every August, certain restaurants across the metroplex offer specially planned three-course prix fixe dinners for either for either $35 or $45. Of that discounted price, 20% goes to charity. This year, the proceeds go to benefit the local hunger relief foundatoin, the North Texas Food Bank. While the vast majority of participating restaurants are located in Dallas and Fort Worth, a couple of local restaurants are involved this year. Read on to find out which ones!

Bottomless mimosas are both a blessing and a curse - especially if you're the type to not feel alcohol until the moment you stand up. We've had brunches before when that glass (or flute or whatever) just seems to never go empty. Every time you turn around your half full glass become completely full once more. And the mimosas at local fave The Chestnut Tree are even more impressive than that. The abundance of flavors makes for a different glass every refill and ability to serve yourself means that you won't feel ashamed about your mimosa-habit every time the waiter walks by and side-eyes you. Anna Ryan knows what we're talking about. The comic and artist put together this 5-panel comic strip documenting a meal with accompanying mimosas at The Chestnut Tree. She showcases what may be an all-too-familiar scene that may occur if your bottomless mimosa glass gets refilled a few too many times.
