Free Comic Book Day is one of the most anticipated events of the nerd year, always the first Saturday in May, when fans get a preview of upcoming projects involving their favorite icons or discover new characters. More Fun Comics and Games is celebrating its 15th year in Denton with a very special #FCBD guest, comics legend Scott Williams, who illustrated the Denton Batman #1 exclusive variant cover. After a day of in-store signings on the downtown Denton Square, the award-winning illustrator will be revealing his artistic beginnings, his storied career, and behind-the-panels tales of infamous projects in a very special Nerd Nite Denton event at the Bearded Monk on Saturday May 6 at 8pm.

CATCHING THEM ALL IN DENTON PART 2
Pokémon Go is a recently released mobile game that augments your real life by adding cute little monsters to your phone camera. By now you've surely noticed the hoards of people gathering around the square at all hours excitedly swiping upwards on their phones. We are no strangers to the game ourselves. While I'm sure I have caught far more 'mon than Glen has, we've all been spending far too much time with the app. We recently found Denton's self-appointed "Geek Guru" and recruited him to aid us in our quest to catch them all. Last week, he shared some of the background on the game with us. Today, he has some tips that will help you in playing the game in Denton and how it relates to Niantic's previous mobile game, Ingress. Read on for more!

With the last week of November afoot, the Den10 brings you the ten most elite events for you to enjoy over the next couple of days. If you work in retail, we are sorry. However, Small Business Saturday is coming up this week, and we are all fairly strong advocates of buying local (and of shopping on Saturday) over waiting outside a huge corporate store for hours just to get an exclusive tote bag on the one evening of the year that is actually supposed to be about giving thanks, you know? Totally just our personal opinions, though.
If you want to share your personal opinions, or events and stuff, Sara will be bored all week so send them to her.
