This Saturday is the eighth annual Handmade Harvest event put on by the fine folks at The DIME Store. This annual event is probably the single best day of shopping available in Denton. Yes, even better than that day after Thanksgiving when everyone eats leftover pie and then goes to Target to fight over discounted televisions. At the Handmade Harvest, makers from all over gather together under one roof (this year at TWU's Hubbard Hall) to sell their wares. Read on to find out why you should make sure to stop by this weekend and what to check out.

Another packed week in Denton. The DIME Store had their Handmade Harvest, we got to check out Summit Gym, people showed up at 7:30 a.m. for an InstaDFW photo-meet, and much more. We're sure the beautiful November weather helped to put us all in good moods. Although, the less-beautiful November allergies are kind of kicking our butt right now. Oh well. 72 degree weather makes it worth it.
Below are 19 photos from the past seven days of life in Denton, TX. We do this every Monday and call it What We Did. Photos are by both We Denton Do It readers and staffers.

Did you vote yesterday, Denton? We sure hope you did! If not, it’s ok (we guess). You can still pack the rest of your week with civic goodness. This week holds plenty of opportunity to get out, mingle with some peers, have your voice heard, and above all - have a good time doing so. Luckily our beautiful town has plenty of eye-catching locations for these gatherings to take place at, and hey, we’ve really been meaning to go back to Barley & Board any way.

Oh November, let me count the ways I love thee. 1. The chill mornings are here to stay, and I don’t feel so ridiculous tromping around town in boots and swathed in scarves. 2. I am inspired to finally write that novel, thanks to NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). 3. I can soak in the beacon of Friday Night Lights at any of the area schools or from the comfort of my own Netflix. 4. I can practice thankfulness as I eat ALL the pie, nap off a turkey coma, and still buy the best Christmas presents during Small Business Saturday.
These are just a few of our favorite November happenings, but the TOP 10 Denton exploits for kids and families are listed below. Don’t see your event? List it in the comments!
