Did you vote yesterday, Denton? We sure hope you did! If not, it’s ok (we guess). You can still pack the rest of your week with civic goodness. This week holds plenty of opportunity to get out, mingle with some peers, have your voice heard, and above all - have a good time doing so. Luckily our beautiful town has plenty of eye-catching locations for these gatherings to take place at, and hey, we’ve really been meaning to go back to Barley & Board any way.

Looking for something fun to do and haven’t quite shaken the whole Halloween / Dia de los Muertos Holiday spirit? Head down to UNT on The Square Wednesday for a Day of the Dead workshop and to decorate calaveras (skulls) and papel picado (perforated paper). DIME Handmade Harvest 2015 | Greater Denton Arts Council | Starts at 6 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday
For two days you can shop some amazing local goods all in one place! No, not the DIME Store (Well, yes, technically the DIME Store..) -- The DIME Store is putting on their annual Handmade Harvest, beginning with the First Friday preview from 6 - 9 p.m. on Friday. The event picks back up on Saturday at 10 a.m. with more than 40 local booths packed with locally made crafts, art, and other fun, creative goodness. Saturday's event ends at 4 p.m. This is the perfect way to get a head start on Holiday shopping, you guys!

Ok, you had us at $1 drip coffee.. Just kidding, photos. And donuts. This new(er) event was created with a vision to connect people and community by putting phones and cameras down for a bit and engaging in .. you know, good o’l conversation before gramming each other. Did you know that there are monthly Star Parties? Did you know that we have an Astronomy Center in town? DID YOU KNOW.. just kidding. Star Parties occur on the 1st Saturday of each month and we do infact have an Astronomy Center in town. Happening this Saturday, weather permitting. Kids under 4 years of age get in free!
SCRAP Masquerade | Woman’s Club Building | 7 p.m.
Another year, another Masquerade. Come incognito and bid on an array of silent auction items, with proceeds going to local organization, SCRAP. There will be a photo booth, contests, and live music throughout the evening! Stop by the store before hand to purchase materials to make your handmade mask!

Fresh off the Time Magazine's 2015 Musical Artists to Watch list, the teenage punk-rock duo from Los Angeles, Girlpool will be strolling through Denton this weekend, playing with local bands Dripping Wet and The Single Issues. Funny that Denton has already seen at least one other band on that list, and Torres came through Dallas with Garbage last month.. Good work, Time Magazine.

The extremely charitable folks at Oaks St. Draft House are hosting a fundraiser/Pint Night for GOAL.
