THE DEN10: JULY 12TH 2017

Boy howdy, you can almost grill a burger on your truck bumper as the Texas summer reaches full tilt boogie. Fear not, Denton has plenty of indoor stops to keep you cool when you ain’t enjoying that new Water Works Park Wave Pool or chilling in City Pool. It also ain’t too late to catch our WDDI top picks for “Denton Summertime Fun” or “Kid Camps” and maybe these “Denton Podcasts” to pass time in your cubicle or that dang long drive.

Holla in the comments if you have a fave to add, but be sure to tag your pretty Instagram pics with #WDDI so maybe you make the cut on Monday’s “What We Did” review.

WHAT WE DID: JUNE 6TH 2016

Welcome to What We Did, our photo round-up that is posted every Monday morning featuring photos from the past week.

Over the weekend we said goodbye to Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios, a beloved venue and Denton institution for near two decades. They held a series of packed "Farewell" shows over the past week that saw Denton bands of yesteryear such as Record Hop and Lift to Experience reuniting to take the stage at Gloves one last time.

This week is packed with photos from Rubber Gloves' last week and other images from the past seven days.

If you'd like to be included in What We Did, tag your images with #WDDI on Instagram, and check back here next Monday. Click the images below to be led back to the photographer's Instagram page where you can follow them or creepily like one of their photos from two years ago.

WHAT WE DID: APRIL 25TH

What a lovely, rain-free spring weekend that was. Denton's Redbud Festival seems to be the only festival that seems to be rainproof. We're wondering if the proximity to Arts and Jazz Fest will help to share some water-proofing, but out weather apps are saying otherwise...

This week not only sees storms and Arts & Jazz Fest, but also early voting starts today so go have fun with that. If you're still undecided (or you just enjoy Dan's or local politics), we're hosting a candidate debate tonight at Dan's Silverleaf.

What We Did is our weekly roundup of a few of the best photos that have been tagged with #WDDI in the past week on Instagram.

Below are 20 photos from the past seven days of life in Denton, TX. This week we've got scenes from Friday's Kuzuthon at Harvest House, Keep Denton Beautiful's annual Redbud Festival, Bell and Oak's Gathering Day and much more.

If you'd like to be included in What We Did, tag your images with #WDDI on Instagram, and check back here next Monday. Search the hashtag #WDDI and check out all of the other awesome photos that we were unable to include this week. Click the images below to be led back to the photographer's Instagram page where you can follow them and like all of their images like the creep that you are.

WHAT WE DID: DECEMBER 21ST

We always treasure our student-less times in Denton. Scoring a parking space on the square without resorting to one of the secret parking spaces that would have us walking an extra half a block is a great feeling. The 70 degree weather is kinda killing our Christmas-buzz right now, though. Good thing we have Star Wars VII and all of the SW-related photos y'all took to cheer us up.

What We Did is our weekly roundup of photos that WDDI staff and readers have taken over the past seven days. We've got 18 of our favorite images from the past week in Denton, TX below.

If you'd like to be included in What We Did, tag your images with #WDDI on Instagram, and check back here next Monday. As always, we're limited in the photos we can post, but we encourage you to search the hashtag #WDDI and check out all of the other awesome photos that have been tagged with #WDDI.
