This week in #DENTONING has a lot of cool things to put on your calendar, so here is our top #DEN10 weekly events for you to check out!
THURSDAY, October 4th
Twilight Tunes | Courthouse Lawn | 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Everyone’s favorite FREE music series is back, so bring a folding chair or blanket to picnic on the historic Denton Courthouse lawn, and grab some drinks and gnoshes from our downtown merchants!
FRIDAY, October 5th
The Parker House Haunted Attraction| 8550 W University Dr | 7:30 PM – 12:00 Midnight
Halloween season has officially started, and The Parker House is open for your frightening thrills. Our prior WDDI guide to local haunting attractions should still be golden.
KUZU: Kaleidoscope| The Campus Theater | 8:00 PM - 12:00 AM
KUZU celebrates the cross pollination of visual art & music featuring UNT professor of music David Stout, Richland College new media professor Michael Morris, US figure skater and multimedia artist Jennifer Wester, a special performance by Lorelei K, and an improvised trio of vocals and manipulated visuals by Lily Taylor, Sarah Alexander, and Stephen Lucas, plus more TBA. 8pm / $10 Adults / $5 Students.

Two Denton legends unite yet again for a guaranteed awesome evening of music, dancing, old friends, and cold beer. If you can get tickets, that is.

The beloved Denton Community Market is the best way to ring in Saturdays, with all kinds of nifty crafty swag, produce, veggies, food, tours of the Bayless-Selby House, and the annual Hispanic Heritage Festival! Browsing always pairs nicely with Saturday Jazz Brunch at The Chestnut Tree and the Empty Bowls Luncheon at First United Methodist to benefit Our Daily Bread!
Dog Days of Denton | NTX Fair & Rodeogrounds| 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Its their 25th year of doggone fun! Bring your pup and enjoy a canine couture fashion show, live entertainment, “Glamfur” photos, hand-crafted arts/crafts for pets and people, pet care products, general products and services for your home and pet, pet rescue groups, fantastic festival foods and much more!

As fate would have it, Caskey’s Bar & Grill is celebrating their 2nd Anniversary while OSDH&CP hosts a Food Truck Fest and there’s a shave-a-thon benefit for Andy Knapik at Dan’s so definitely pace yourself.

For the 7th annual Oaktoberfest, there’s over 30 Oktoberfest/Pumpkin beers on tap, food trucks, German Polka music, and a costume contest that apparently should involve lederhosen and your dog. There’s a chance of rain but no one will care.
