THURSDAY, October 11th

Twilight Tunes | Courthouse Lawn | 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM    
Everyone’s favorite FREE music series is back, so bring a folding chair or blanket to picnic on the historic Denton Courthouse lawn, and grab some drinks with gnoshes from our downtown merchants as you listen to Super Kings! But also hit up Bootstrap Denton at BYOB then stop in to wish a very happy 7th anniversary for Paschall Bar! Its also Cheers For Queers at Wine Squared for National Coming Out Day!

FRIDAY, October 12th

Halloween Harvest & FREE Movie in the Park| Denia Rec Center | 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Halloween season is here and Denton Parks & Rec are hosting this evening of free fun and a film for the whole family, featuring Disney/Pixar’s Coco. For you older thrillseekers, our prior WDDI guide to local haunting attractions should still be golden.   

Backyard Block Party 2| Backyard On Bell | 6:00 PM - 12:00 AM    
Backyard on Bell turns 2 years old so they are throwing their Block Party Fest a little early this year with food, art, and music. They’ll showcase an impressive amount of talent on their outdoor stage! 

Armadillo Comedy Night| Armadillo Ale Works | 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM  
You’ve heard us crow about Denton’s increasingly awesome comedy scene, now the Armadillo brewmeisters are getting into the action with an evening of laffs and yucks. Don’t forget to sign-up for their brewery tours and sample their savory catalogue!


SATURDAY, October 13th

Denton Community Market | Denton County Historic Park | 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM  
The beloved Denton Community Market is the best way to ring in Saturdays, with all kinds of nifty crafty swag, produce, veggies, food, tours of the Bayless-Selby House, and this weekend is Harvest Day! Browsing always pairs nicely with Saturday Jazz Brunch at The Chestnut Tree and don’t miss the Denton County Master Gardeners’ Fall Garden Fest at the fairgrounds or the Urban Foraging class at Clear Creek!

9th annual Bonnie & Clyde Days | Pilot Point| 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM  
During the all-day event, Pilot Point becomes a piece of living history with old-timey, small town 1930's era family fun! Festivalgoers step back in time as they watch the Model A and Classic Car Show, performances from the Apex Tumbling Show Team, Davis Dance Team, Savannah Dance, Silhouette Dance, musical acts Rugged Grace, Sallie Branch and The Way Down and the Peanut Thrashing Demonstrations. Visitors can cheer on participants during the Cabinet Makers Soap Box Challenge and the Old Fashioned Pie Eating Contest. Bonnie & Clyde Days also offers street and food vendors, live music and entertainment throughout the day with a FREE Kids Zone and live music! The featured event – the famous “Bank Robbery Scene Reenactment,” complete with gangsters and police squad cars – occurs at high noon and again at 3:00 p.m.

Rock Lottery 17 | Dan’s SilverLeaf | 10:00 AM - 11:59 PM
The legendary Denton dare returns. 25 artists' names go into a hat; 5 bands come out. This year's Rock Lottery proceeds will directly benefit KUZU 92.9FM, Denton's LPFM Community Radio Station. $20 gets you into the drawing of the bands, an extra hearty breakfast by Chef Pam, and entrance into the show. You could also float up to Andy’s Haloween Harlot Hootenanny for some Rockabilly and belly dancers! If you want a more laid-back evening, the FWB free movie on the Square from 6:30-9p is HOCUS POCUS!!

Masquerade Hollywood Fundraiser| SCRAP Denton | 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM  
Masquerade is SCRAP Denton's annual fundraiser and this year our theme is Hollywood: Lights, Camera, Auction. We will have a live auctioneer as well as a silent auction featuring local goods and services from our generous Denton sponsors. Munch on our movie theater popcorn, hotdogs (vegan and beef), candy and enjoy beverages provided by Armadillo Ale Works. Don't miss out on a special Halloween movie mashup dance performance from 9Tease Studios, Eclektic Elektric, and #Movements. Wear your movie theater themed costume and mask to win door prizes. Pre-sale tickets available now. This is an 18+ event.


SUNDAY, October 14th

Sunday Brunch | The Chestnut Tree| 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM  
Shut up and take our money!! Their Saturday Jazz Brunch is already one of our favorite weekend stops but now Sunday’s are also a delicious destination. Just check out their menu and you’ll see why… Oh, and now serving secret Sunday Supper! Dangit, I’m drooling.

Taste of Denton| Armadillo Ale Works | 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM  
Area foodies come together for the Taste of Denton! Live music and lots of family fun. Enjoy unlimited food samples from many of Denton's top favorite restaurants. General Admission tickets include entry into the event, unlimited food sampling and 3 drink tickets good for Armadillo Ale Works beverages. Kids 12 and under are free. Denton has a little bit of everything. All you want from a big city, while still holding on to that small-town vibe. Afterwards, help put Denton in the Guinness Book of World Records at the 3rd annual Monkiversary Shotgun!
