WHAT WE DID: FEBRUARY 6TH 2017

What We Did is our weekly roundup of a few photos that were tagged with #WDDI in the past week on Instagram. Together, they give us a great view into some of the awesome things that were going on in Denton.

This week we have featured 18 fairly diverse images from all across Denton - there's live music, food, art shows, food, picnics on the square and even food.

If you'd like to be included in What We Did, tag your images with #WDDI on Instagram, and check back here next Monday. Search the hashtag #WDDI and check out all of the other great photos. Click the images below to be led back to the photographer's Instagram page where you can follow them and then quickly unfollow them when they don't follow back within an hour.

@jocsanl with a photo of a bicycle in front of what is quickly becoming Denton's most photographed mural (top three at least).

This lemon chess pie with blackberry lavender whipped cream from @ajleaps is kinda making us drool right now.

@wesleykirk is now an official volunteer deputy registrar and we're kinda jealous. Wanna become one yourself? Click here

@kkbigley at the opening of The Greater Denton Arts Council's Materials: Hard and Soft. We're still not sure about that name for an art show.

@iinytheband at Denton's current "it" venue, @backyardonbell.

@snowberrylife with a beautiful Sunday sunset that brought neighbors together. Not mine, though. He's still in his garage listening to late-era Metallica far too loud while he hits his car with a hammer. Not sure he's entirely okay now that I think about it.

@m1ndyarendt with some salsa at Taqueria Guanajuato.

A custom caiman watch strap from local leather atelier, @wilkinsontx. I think Clint made it for Glen, though. So that makes it a little less cool, but I still dig it.

Claire Morales at Dan's Silverleaf last week. Photo by @stellar_yogi.

@backyardonbell still has some of the best fresh pizza in Denton, y'all. Get on this if you haven't already.

@garypayne putting his kid to work shooting a Mean Green basketball game.

Coffee and bikes with @kclose3.

Are they playing Chopsticks or Greensleeves, @dentonjohanna?

Great shot of the Ryan High vs Braswell High ladies soccer game last week from @ryanraidernation.

It is definitely okay to have a February picnic on the square if it is 70 degrees outside. Photo by @liz.wakefield.

@flyonthedime on a staircase.

@jesslorene with a photo of this "fab fawn" that got sweater-bombed at UNT.

@chosmuseum recently shared this photo of the Fry Street Marci Gras Band playing on the sidewalk in Denton in 1994. We hope they share a photo like this every week!
