Time for our weekly roundup of the top ten events you need to check out this weekend. It's hard to believe it's almost March. There is literally a little bit of everything for everyone this week so get out there and do what you do best and while your doing that, go ahead and throw a pound sign before the letters "WDDI" and you might just make our Monday wrap up post, What We Did.

Friday, February 24th
Meat Paw Studios Pop Up Apparel Shop | The Bearded Monk | 6 PM - 12 AM
Pop. Up. Shops. In. Shops. Wondering if this is a dog apparel shop. Probably not.
Family Tree EP Release + Leoncarlo | The Black Box Theatre | 7:30 PM - 10 PM
An awesome venue and a great set of musicians.
Duncan Fellows / Birds of Night | Dan’s Silver Leaf | 9 PM - 12 AM
These guys are proving that good bands do still exist.
Saturday, February 25th
FREE! New Science Projects / Glasir / Sunrise Pilots / I, The Ghost | Andy’s Bar | 8 PM - 2 AM
Continuing to save the square, one grungy show at a time.
Ariella Laguetta with Matt Farmer | Lone Star Taps & Caps | 9 PM- 12:30 AM
It's like there's a portal that connects Taps & Caps and the basement of J&J's. But really, an actual tunnel does connect the two.
Standup Comedy | Backyard on Bell | 8:30 PM - 10:30 PM
This event name is so un-imaginatively named that it just had to be included. So maybe that's good marketing. At any rate, standup comedy is the ultimate thunder-dome of entertainment. Just a brain and a mic vs the world. How could anyone not support that?
Tuesday, February 28th
Fat Tuesday with the Vintage Jazz Society | Agua Dulce Mexican Kitchen | 6 PM - 9 PM
We can always get behind "vintage jazz".
Nerd Nite XI: We Got Game Mardi Gras Mixer | The Bearded Monk | 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM
NERDS! UNITE! This is always a fun event thanks to the constant effort of the fearless organizers. This time, the talks revolve around Black History Month and local gamemakers. Additionally, there will be Mardi Gras trivia, speakers, board game demos, and craft beer.
