It all leads up to this, All Hallows Eve and the trick-or-treat marathon of candy or cold adult beverages. Where can you get your ghoul on? Here’s our quick guide to Halloween Happenings around Denton this year, but feel free to add your fave in the comments.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 30th

There are quite a few options for ushering-in All Hallows Eve, but here are our faves:

DENTON HAUNTS is hosting a 7:00pm haunted walking tour then a late-night 10:00pm Haunted Pub Crawl for those bold enough to brave the Monday night walkabout. Local watering holes will share the persistent poltergeists that lurk along with their liquid spirits.

PAUL SLAVENS & Friends still put on the must-see Monday showcase of musical improv and comedy shenanigans. Genius, madness, or a little bit of both, the 9:00-11:00p show is always entertaining.

If you really want to push the envelope and maybe sight a ghostly local legend, you can Shotgun at Goatman’s Bridge with lunatics from Denton County Brewing Co. and The Bearded Monk at 11:30pm. Whether you encounter the ghastly Goatman or not, you will likely need a beer.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31st, ALL HALLOWS EVE

Take a deep breath, you may need to pace yourself.

Downtown Denton Trick-or-Treat around the Square keeps getting more awesome every year, since kids of all ages can score candy along with free comics and other assorted goodies from 5:00-6:30 pm.

Down the block at First United Methodist, their Share the Harvest event from 6-8pm has carnival games, hayrides, and snacks. Admission is one canned food item for their Denton County Food Room.

Harvest House is hosting a HALLOWEEN MOVIE NIGHT double-feature, with “Tucker & Dale vs. Evil” at 7:30pm followed by the original “Halloween” thriller on their patio projection screen!

Eastside Denton is hosting a Costume Contest with prizes, Andy’s is also having a Costume Contest with their DJ #Millaween, the ever-fab STARPARTY is haunting at Abbey Underground, and there is the Nightmare on Elm Street at Dusty’s Bar with horror flicks and tarot readings.

BackYard On Bell Does Halloween with BRAVE COMBO & More from 8:00p-1:00am just in case you want to dance the night away, or you can head to Mulberry Street Cantina for Halloween Salsa Night.
