Tuesday, June 23rd
Afternoon Kids Camp | Painting With a Twist | $25-35 | Various Times
These daily sessions allow parents to sign their child up for one or all sessions. What a fun way to spend an afternoon! Each camp session has a particular age requirement, snack is included, and parents may stay or drop off. These sessions go on from Monday - Friday.
Lil’d Summer Gardening Camp | Calhoun Middle School Garden | Free | 8:30, 9:30am
Explorium Denton hosts this twice-a-week program for children ages 5-7 ad 8-11 at the CMS Garden. Come to any or all sessions, but please let them know you’re coming by emailing info@exploriumdenton.org

School’s out, Scrap’s In | Scrap | $20 | 1-4pm
Seriously this is probably the best deal in town. A hump-day treat to break up the monotonous week now that the kids are all at home for the summer. You won’t regret signing your child(ren) up for every session-yep, it’s EVERY Wednesday afternoon!
Teen Lego Mania | Emily Fowler Library | Free | 6:30pm
Come play with LEGOs! These projects are more challenging than the regular LEGO Mania, or just build for fun. All LEGOs provided by the library (please don’t bring your own). Ages 11-17.

Cinemark Summer Movie Camp | Cinemark Wind River | $1 | 9:30am
A dollar for a movie? What a great way to beat the heat! For families with children of all ages, this week’s feature film is Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Cheap kids combo makes for a nice distraction for those kiddos who just won’t sit still. This program continues through August 13.

Super Hero Science | South Branch Library | Free | 3:30pm
Want to trick your kids into learning something this summer? Discover the science behind superheroes and their amazing powers with this interactive, educator-led auditorium show by the Perot Museum. Explore energy, forces and motion, smart materials, magnetism, levitation and properties of light. Get there an HOUR EARLY for a ticket; this program is a first-come-first-served deal. Best for ages 8 -18.
Book Release | DIME Store | Free | 6-9pm
Meet local author and creator of "Arrhinoceratops to Zephyrosaurus: a Dino ABC book" on Friday night at the DIME store! Buy a book, get it signed, and stay for the cool coloring sheets. It’s also “First Friday” at week early at DIME – so plan to hang out a while for and eat a hot dog.

Denton All-Star Youth Football League ( DAYFL) is hosting a punt/pass/kick clinic at North Lakes football fields in Denton on Bonnie Brae. This program is open to anyone age 5-12. Hut-hut!
Martial Arts Open House | Marshall’s ATA | Free | 9am
Come to the GRAND OPENING and ribbon cutting of this new facility! There will be a bounce house, face painters, food from the grill, drinks, T-shirt & lots of giveaways and samples.
