While some of you may be headed out of town for spring break, there's plenty to do in Denton, TX. Heck, you don't even have to drive outside of the city limits to keep your family entertained throughout the rest of the break. Thursday and Friday
Bowling | Brunswick Zone | $9.99 | 2-5:30pm
For just 9.99 per child, Monday through Friday between 2 and 5:30, you can bowl your heart out, including shoe rental, plus get a pizza and a drink! Now that’s a strike!
Thursday, March 19th
Critterman | South Branch Denton Public Library | Free | 3:30pm
Who doesn’t love interesting creatures? Critterman will appear at the South branch of the Denton Public Library on Thursday, March 19th at 3:30pm. Tickets are free but you must arrive one hour before show time to secure your ticket.
TWU Softball | Pioneer Field | $3-5 | 5pm
The Pioneers take on Angelo State at one of our favorite sports venues in town. If you haven’t been to Pioneer Field, do it this week and introduce your kids to this great tradition. Concessions are available or do like us and pack a picnic to enjoy outside the outfield fence! (Stay for the double header at 7, or come back Friday at 2 for more action!)
Friday, March 20th
Chalk Art | Emily Fowler Library | Free | 3pm
Kids of all ages will enjoy decorating the sidewalks outside the library with sidewalk chalk and doing other exciting outdoor activities.
Open Gym | Achiever’s Gymnastics | $9 | 10-11am
Achievers has opened their gym an extra day this week for our wiggly little ones. For just $9 your child gets an hour of unmatched physical play, or buy a punch card for nearly half price! It’s a 10!
Saturday, March 21st
TWU Gymnastics | Kitty Magee Arena | $5 and up/Children 12 and under FREE | 4pm
If you haven’t seen live gymnastics it is about as lively as a three ring circus only even more entertaining!
Bonus Other stuff:
On a tight budget? Check out the cheap movies at Golden Triangle Mall. Pack a picnic and sit on the Courthouse lawn (great FREE exhibit inside). Visit Minifigs, Bricks, and More and play for a while. Stop by Recycled and pilfer through the stacks. Go for a long walk or bike ride and feed the ducks at various ponds and neighborhoods in town. Fly a kite in one of Denton’s many-acres open parks or green spaces.
