WHAT WE DID: SPECIAL 35 DENTON 2015 EDITION

35 Denton made its triumphant return to form last weekend. Many were doubtful that the festival could re-capture the madcap, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants magic that permeated previous years, but it turned out that 2014 was more of a cocoon than a year off. 35 Denton 2015 was a beast of a different nature. Save for a few, the bands on this year's schedule weren't the Pitchfork Best New Music darlings as they had been in the past, but it turned out that didn't really matter. All you really need to do in Denton to have a good festival is bring some good music, some fun activities, and get people together. We sure had a great time.

While this year's slogan was "Back to the music," we really enjoyed all of the other activities that 35 Denton incorporated this year such as yoga, multiple photographic events, and an art show. We really enjoyed the slightly new direction of the festival and were very impressed by the cast and crew working behind-the-scenes. Read on for photos from the festival including both ours and yours and some images from our Instawalk.

THE INSTANT FILM OF 35 DENTON

Photography was a big part of 35 Denton this year. Aside from digital cameras, instant film (often provided by Denton Camera Exchange) was in full swing. Check out some of our favorite Polaroids below.

INSTAWALK

We hosted a #WDDI Instawalk for the festival this year in which we made our way from Shift to the festival by way of the industrial side of east Denton. We had so much fun that we're thinking about doing it again some time soon.
