There’s a crispness in the air now as we move into Halloween weekend. There’s also a ton going on as this is arguably the busiest holiday that Denton sees. Heck, it spans two weekend, y'all. An interesting thing to note this year as that there appears to be a critical mass forming downtown of residents wanting to play and shop the shops downtown into the weekend evenings and businesses open for them to patronize. John Williams, owner of East Side and Oak Street Draft House, has organized an event dubbed "Trick or Treat Around the Square" with over 50 shops involved. We may even join 'em on the square's sidewalk, bucket of candy in hand, this Friday evening from about 6 until 8pm. We want to see all your Halloween shenanigans tagged with #WDDI so we can post them on Monday in What We Did.

Audacity Brewhouse Tap Takeover | Oak Street Draft House & East Side | 7PM
Denton’s newest brewery take over the taps at the tap house down Oak Street this week. We checked out opening night and liked what we tasted and here’s an opportunity to try all six offerings an maybe even chat with the owners. We like it when bars become friends. BBFFs?

Here’s a first. About 50 downtown shops will be handing out candy to the little ones that are in costume for Halloween this Friday on the square. You can dress up, too. Maybe some nice soul will even give you some candy.
