As a reward for your voting today, we are sharing an awesome drone video from last month's Coffin Races created by Nick Wood. Wood is a local videographer (and sometimes photographer) that creates short videos for companies for promotional use. With this video, Wood hoped to, "give a visual representation of the type of community our city has and how so many of our local business help support one another. " To create the video, Wood first got permission from the city to use his registered DJI Phantom 3 drone and then flew it all over the place during the coffin races. If you saw a white shape floating in the sky that day, it was probably him. Click through to watch his video!

As the Halloween stash of Snickers and Skittles starts to dwindle, we're looking ahead to what should be fall. If only our forecast would get the memo. As we often bemoan the absence of a Trader Joe’s and a Central Market or HEB - let’s be real - Denton is chock full of grocery stores. We’ve got 3 Krogers (the hellish one on University, the giant one on 288, and the fancy one on Teasley), an Albertsons, 3 Walmarts (the old one on 288, the new one holding down Rayzor Ranch, and the cute little neighborhood one on Teasley), a Super Target, a WinCo, Natural Grocers, the Cupboard, Aldi, Sprouts, La Azteca and La Michoacana. That doesn’t even count Sam’s Club, which is the best place to buy your giant jar of pickles. But there is one grocer that often flies under the radar, and isn’t often mentioned - Drug Emporium. Read on to find out why Drug Emporium is actually one of our favorite places to shop, and what you should keep your eyes peeled for.

We had so many photos and tagged photos from the spooky festivities this weekend that we decided they deserved their own What We Did post.
Saturday's coffin races are always our favorite aspect of Halloween in Denton and this year was no slouch. The designs this year were once again amazing and there were over 70 entries. On a sidenote, we love how Pan Ector have basically become the villains of the annual race with their ability to think outside of the box (literally in this case).
The coffin races weren't the only Halloween activity going on this weekend, though. Below, you'll also find photos from costume parties, live music, twilight parade, and a whole bunch of awesome stuff that happened.
