This Saturday is the eighth annual Handmade Harvest event put on by the fine folks at The DIME Store. This annual event is probably the single best day of shopping available in Denton. Yes, even better than that day after Thanksgiving when everyone eats leftover pie and then goes to Target to fight over discounted televisions. At the Handmade Harvest, makers from all over gather together under one roof (this year at TWU's Hubbard Hall) to sell their wares. Read on to find out why you should make sure to stop by this weekend and what to check out.

What We Did is our weekly "slice of life" photo post featuring images that have been tagged with #WDDI in the past week on Instagram.
Below are 18 photos from the past seven days of life in Denton, TX including opening day at the Denton Community Market, The DIME Store's 4th birthday party, some food-centric celebrations, and a mean-lookin' cat. Also included are photos from the photo booth we helped put together at The DIME Store's birthday celebration featuring a backdrop hand-painted by Shawna Smith.
If you'd like to be included in What We Did, tag your Denton images with #WDDI on Instagram, and check back here next Monday. Search the hashtag #WDDI and check out all of the other photos that we were unable to include this week. Click the images below to be led back to the photographer's Instagram page where you can follow them and then go comment on a photo from 113 weeks ago.
P.S. Ya know those three posts we ran on Saturday that got a few people upset (i.e. Morrison's Corn-Kits turning into a vape store)? Yeah, those were all April Fool's pranks. So, you can go ahead and put down your pitchforks and rest easy. Spiral Diner will serve delicious vegan fare. Morrison's Corn-Kits will continue to produce corn bread packets (and more). And LSA will continue to be loud (but not THAT loud).

If you saw me rolling a bass speaker cabinet up to the square at about 10PM last night after Denton Pub Quiz Apocalypse I want to assure you that it seemed like a great idea at the bottom of the hill. But then again, there are a lot of things that seemed like a good idea post-apocalypse. The thing had wheels. At any rate, join us in two weeks for the same sorts of shenanigans and quizzings up at Dan’s Silverleaf, 7PM, free to play and there’s actual cash money prizes. Until then, check out the bounty of events our humble little village has to offer. Tag your photos #WDDI and get featured in the What We Did post on Monday.

With the last week of November afoot, the Den10 brings you the ten most elite events for you to enjoy over the next couple of days. If you work in retail, we are sorry. However, Small Business Saturday is coming up this week, and we are all fairly strong advocates of buying local (and of shopping on Saturday) over waiting outside a huge corporate store for hours just to get an exclusive tote bag on the one evening of the year that is actually supposed to be about giving thanks, you know? Totally just our personal opinions, though.
If you want to share your personal opinions, or events and stuff, Sara will be bored all week so send them to her.
