Clint Wilkinson has spent a lifetime learning from and looking up to his grandfather. As the purveyor of Weldon's Western Wear on East Hickory Street - he has seen the retailers of Denton weather the many storms of change through the years. Now, Clint is taking all of those experiences and is changing courses. Read on to find out what we found out about Wilkinson -and why he'll be making the bag you own for the next 50 years.

What a lovely, rain-free spring weekend that was. Denton's Redbud Festival seems to be the only festival that seems to be rainproof. We're wondering if the proximity to Arts and Jazz Fest will help to share some water-proofing, but out weather apps are saying otherwise...
This week not only sees storms and Arts & Jazz Fest, but also early voting starts today so go have fun with that. If you're still undecided (or you just enjoy Dan's or local politics), we're hosting a candidate debate tonight at Dan's Silverleaf.
What We Did is our weekly roundup of a few of the best photos that have been tagged with #WDDI in the past week on Instagram.

Well, that sure was spooky. Denton, you go all out with costumes. We saw ghosts, ghouls, goblins, Trumps, pumpkins, pumpkin-Trumps, and about a half dozen or so Leslie Knopes out on the streets this weekend. Also, let's take a quick aside to talk about how hard Sundown Blvd. at Ranchman gets down on Halloween. We heard tell of this block of houses that go all out and decided to trek over to South Denton to see what all of the fuss was about and we were not disappointed. Streets covered in fog, men with chainsaws chasing teenagers, and houses decorated to the nines were just a few of the things that make that area a trick-or-treaters paradise. We will definitely hit it up next year. Y'all know of any Denton neighborhoods that have them beat in terms of All Hallow's Eve?
What We Did is our weekly roundup of photos that WDDI staff and readers have taken over the past seven days. We've got 22 of our favorite images from the past week in Denton, TX below. Most of 'em are Halloween-specific (how could they not be?), but you'll find a few non-spooky ones there, too.
If you'd like to be included in What We Did, tag your images with #WDDI on Instagram, and check back here next Monday.
