WEDNESDAY, September 6th
Toadies LIVE | Rockin’ Rodeo | 7:00 PM - 2:00 AM
Texas faves return to Denton with their seventh studio album, The Lower Side of Uptown, in this live concert event. Go get a taste of their new single “Broke Down Stupid.” You either already have tix or need to make some new friends, fast.
THURSDAY, September 7th
The Otherside Music/Art Fest | Abbey Underground | 10:00 PM - 2:00 AM
Denton music festivals are a giveth/taketh away kind of thing, but the DIY force here in Lil’ D is strong. Go check out some local faves and UNT-inspired newcomers before they become too cool to remember your name. Plus you can pre-game with The Simpsons Trivia at Mulberry Street Cantina.
David Bowie Tribute | Dan’s SilverLeaf | 8:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Jason and The Goons pay tribute to our favorite Dark Star Astronaut in this groovy program. You should go dressed as your favorite Bowie incarnation, but you gotta buy shots for whomever comes dressed as the same character. WDDI rules. You’ll probably also wanna check out The Bearded Monk on Friday for a screening of Labyrinth.

The Denton Zine & Art Party invited a variety of artists from around NTX to contribute an assortment of mixed-media artworks and the result is a peculiar happening for your senses. Filled with large art, installations, sculptures, videos, and interactive works, peruse the unusual and embrace the anomalous psychic topography around us. BTW, what is in this Zera Coffee?

A $5 cover to this local nonprofit grants you full access to Blues Groovy Funk Experimental Hip Hop & Dance with those who bring their poi, hula hoops, and glow sticks to collectively vibe!
SATURDAY, September 9th
Arts & Autos Extravaganza | Downtown Denton | 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
The 18th annual Arts & Autos from Denton Main Street Association is back, where you can ogle rad hot rods, classic and custom cars, trucks and even motorcycles! Festival-goers will enjoy an array of activities throughout the day, including hands-on arts/crafts and games, the amazing Chalk Fest and of course live music. Later in the evening, to keep with the wheeled theme, you can catch local Roller Derby action.
Rose’s Annual Sidewalk Sale | Rose Costumes | 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
If you’ve never gone to check-out the jaw-dropping amazingness that is Rose Costumes, then take a field trip to peruse their annual pre-Halloween sidewalk sale of second-hand gems. There’s a good reason this place is legend with locals, every nook & cranny is a photo booth of inspired décor, just be sure to tag those Instagram pics with #WDDI so we can marvel at your choices.
