This FREE showcase features local faves Pearl Earl at midnight, but an amazing line-up of musical talent all night long almost as good as the pizza and brewskis. Their Friday night line-up is also pretty dang awesome, too.

2nd International Double Bass Solo Competition | UNT College of Music | 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
The Bradetich Foundation hosts the 2nd International Double Bass Solo Competition, September 1-5, 2017, hosted by the University of North Texas College of Music, in Denton, Texas, USA. The finest solo performers in the world are invited to compete for the most generous awards in double bass history, and you can listen to these international talents compete. Full schedule ahoy!

Denton’s First Friday is always a good time to visit DIME for their free make-and-take craft class that includes sangria. Also stop in the First Friday Art Galleries to see what’s new!

Several standing comedians perform… tho they seem kinda mysterious about who exactly will be fishing for yucks. We know for sure, however, they’ll have some pretty awesome craft beer on site.

Go Underground for some late night live disco electronica, with some early evening vibes for bootyshaking. Ain’t no party like a Star Party!

Datalus Showcase Event | Gainesville State Theater | 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
This 8-hour showcase features the award-winning works of UNT alumni filmmakers, such as Don't Frack with Denton, The Great Hanging, Hustler of Providence, Circus City USA, Project Freeplay, and more!!! Definitely worth the drive.

If you haven’t heard this singer-songwriter’s haunting ballads that frequent the “Best of” lists all over DFW, here’s your chance to experience the boot-tapping band live!
