Free Acoustic Showcase | Andy’s Bar | 8 PM - 12 AM
There's a free acoustic showcase almost every Thursday at Andy's Bar, right after our favorite summer Twilight Tunes! Each week they feature 3 of the finest local songwriters to swap songs all night for our entertainment and amazement, but this week is a holy trinity of Brent Best, Kim Nall & The Fringe, and Matt Grigsby Music !!!

First Friday’s at The Arts Center: 2017 Art Grant Awards | Greater Denton Arts Council | 6 PM - 9 PM
It’s First Friday again, which means its time to visit GDAC! The Greater Denton Arts Council has given over $1.5 million dollars in grants to the arts of Denton through community arts grants and artist micro-grants, so come celebrate the recipients of the 2017 Arts Grants Awards to the artists and arts organizations of our Denton community. The evening will feature performances by past and current grant recipients.

Enclave Eclectic 2 Pop-Up | Agua Dulce Mexican Kitchen | 6 PM - 9 PM
Enclave Eclectic returns to Aqua Dulche by popular demand with a fine art exhibit of 2D & 3D works for sale by talented established & emerging artists in Denton County! Fine art painting, drawing, prints, photography, mixed media & 3D sculptural works promise a wide variety of cool stuff to peruse.

Put on your polka pants and practice your fresh chicken-dance moves, cuz Denton's legendary Brave Combo is blowing the roof off of Dan's this Friday!

Friday Mean & Paul Slavens | Lone Star Taps & Caps | 9 PM - 12 PM
Friday evening, Lone Star Taps & Caps presents another epic evening of lively local tunes brought to you by two of Denton's favorite songwriters, Conor Wallace and Paul Slavens. Seriously, they’re kind of a big deal.

Colere IV: Music + Art | BackYard On Bell | 7 PM - 2 AM
BackYard On Bell is out of control. Saturday they’re throwing and art + music extravaganza closing out with a dance party. Promises to be seriously freaky, y’all.

Pickling & Preserving The Harvest | MLK Recreational Center | 10 AM - 12 PM
Ever been in a pickle? Do you want to give a try? Join Texas Agrilife Family and Consumer Science Agent, Courtney Davis, as she leads this hands-on demonstration of pickling techniques, equipment, safety and more at the MLK Rec Center. But first, stop by the Denton Community Market before class so you can practice the skills you'll learn later that afternoon! Space is limited and registration is required so REGISTER ASAP.
