We're sure your social media accounts have you well aware that local election season is upon us once more. Local elections are extremely important to your day-to-day life. Think of just how much has changed in Denton over the past ten years (for better or for worse) that you can link back to city council. As we face yet another year of what is sure to be excitement filled elections - we're ready to ask some tough questions at our annual City Council Forum. Read on to find out more information about the We Denton Do It hosted City Council forum to be held on Monday, April 17th at Dan's Silverleaf.
We Denton Do It believes that city government is a very important part of what makes Denton a great place to live, work and play - and we think the democratic process is important for everyone to take part in. So we are once again hosting a city council debate.
We started holding our own forum in 2014 because we didn't feel like there was a forum that was really focused on information we wanted to know about the candidates. Most of the forums were focused on a specific area of interest, like the Chamber of Commerce and Firefighters Forum, or a targeted neighborhood. This year we once again have a night booked at Dan's Silverleaf. So head on out at 6 pm on Monday, April 17th for some hard hitting questions that you won't necessarily hear everywhere else.
All of the candidates have been invited, so dust off your voter registration card, grab some cash to tip your bartenders, and make plans to head on over to hear what the candidates have to say about the future and their vision for your city. You can find more information on the event's Facebook page.
