THURSDAY, November 16th
Beaujolais & More | Denton Civic Center | 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Denton’s very own celebration of the grape! Beaujolais Nouveaux wine is flown all over the world from France each year, and over 20 of Denton’s finest restaurants and caterers provide some of their most delectable delicacies to sample. Additional wine and craft beer tastings also available in this hedonistic evening of nibbling and sipping while supporting the Campus Theatre. Tickets $25 in advance - $30 at the door.
DBFF Presents Best of the Fest Shorts | GDAC Arts Center | 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
The Denton Black Film Festival (DBFF) invites you to a FREE evening of some of the best short films from 2017, all to get you ready for next year’s program at the end of January. … also pairs nicely with Doug Burr or Weirdo Vision later.
Glitterbomb | Andy’s Bar | 10:00 PM - 12:05 AM
Is it a long-running Denton tradition that is a sure-stop for Thursday night shenanigans, and this week’s Glitterbomb line-up looks amazing! FYI Riprocks is trying to start a Saturday drag show, just as Crossroads opens its new location on University.
FRIDAY, November 17th
3rd Friday Dance | Green Space Arts Collective | 8:00 PM - 12:01 AM
We love this chance to pick-up some Swing Dance moves as you dance the night away!
Comedy Guerilla | top secret location TBA | 9:00 PM - 12:01 AM
Take a chance on these underground comedy pop-up shows, it’s like Fight Club but with less blood and more chuckles! Unconfirmed if actual guerillas will be attending. AVENGE HARAMBE!
10 Year Celebration | Abbey Underground | 10:00 PM - 2:00 AM
Hard to believe our favorite underground hangout is turning 10, but they are pulling out all the stops to celebrate the countdown to some big Nov 20 giveaway prizes!
Virgin Wolves-Red Death-Devils in the Belfry | Harvest House | 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
This amazing outdoor venue is about to heat up and melt faces all night long thanks to this killer line-up of Denton darlings!
SATURDAY, November 18th
Denton Community Market | Downtown Denton | 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
As if the morning Denton Community Market ain’t enough to peruse, there’s also a Holiday Vendor Fair in the Civic Center.
Cool Schmool Feminist Art Show | Paradise Island | 6:00 PM - 12:00 AM
I don’t think you’ll have to battle a legion of Amazons to check out this event, but I also can’t guarantee you won’t. Vendors, poets and music mingle in this eclectic affair.
The Allmost Brothers | Harvest House | 9:00 PM - 11:55 PM
This Allman Brothers tribute band is seriously awesome!
SUNDAY, November 19th
Elk River Sessions Vinyl Fundraiser | Eastside | 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Step right up to enjoy the live stage show and purchase some vinyl of this all-star local line-up! This will be an amazing free show but folks are encouraged to do one of the following: donation of $5, buy digital copy for $10 or buy a vinyl record for $30. All proceeds will help our good friend Traci Batson with her medical bills coming from MS.
