WHAT WE DID: SEPTEMBER 26TH 2016

Well that was a weekend for the books. Oaktopia 2016 took over downtown Denton for the fourth year in a row and had plenty of great moments. In fact, there were so many of those moments, that we'll have a whole post full of 'em later on today. In the meantime, we've got plenty of great non-music festival images from last week in our weekly photo round up post, What We Did.

Every Monday, we take a look through all of the images that have been tagged #WDDI (We Denton Do It) on Instagram and post a few that showcase what life was like in Denton that week.

If you'd like to have your image selected for What We Did, make sure to tag your Instagram photos with #WDDI. Glen has been telling people that if they give him a dollar he can make it happen, but that's just a lie.

Last Thursday was North Texas Giving Day which raised over $37 Million for 2,518 nonprofit organizations. One of the non-profits we donated to was Hallie's Heros. But you don't have to have money to help. We also signed up to be a bone marrow donor. You can sign up any time through dkms.org. Photo by @wedentondoit.

We had a couple of serious clouds last week. @bigdock captured one of them over Guyer High School.

@snowberrylife and a caterpillar.

@archerplushare muraling really hard.

@negliacooks with a shot of last week's chicken fried steak donut at Queenie's "Backdough."

@justinpeacedfw with a shot of Rainmakers' Workshop outside of UNT's Visual Arts building.

Our single most favorite part of North Texas Giving Day was Glen Farris' Twitter conversation with himself about his workout habits. Although, he did get dunked at the CISNT booth a number of times and helped raise over $9,000.

We'll have a whole post dedicated to Oaktopia up later today, but in the mean time, check out this photo of Andrew W.K. partying hard on the Oaktopia stage from @wedentondoit.
