Some days you're just too tired to make dinner. And then there are the days when you're just too tired to even go pick dinner up. Those are the days when you turn to your trusty smart phone and call a trusted delivery source. Sadly, then days when Mr. Chopsticks would deliver to your door are long gone, but Denton's decent delivery options have grown significantly in the past few years. Read on to find out a few of our favorite delivery options in town.
Breckies is Denton's newest and most high concept service. The delivery-only, breakfast/brunch service operates out of the Seven Mile Cafe kitchen and shares their same brand of good food and coffee. Looking at the menu has us drooling over the Aloha Chicken Sandwich. It's fried chicken on a biscuit with candied bacon, with some adobo pineapple sauce. That plus tofu sliders, black cherry bourbon pork tacos, and Seven Mile's famous acai bowl make for a great weekend feast.
Menu Runners is a new delivery service to Denton that acts as the middleman between restaurants without delivery and you. They offer delivery from Denton restaurants such as Bet the House, BJ's, Chipotle, Chuy's, Denton County Hamburger, Five Guys, On the Border, Pollo Tropical, Sweetwater, Villa Grande and much more. You can currently use the promo code EAGLES for free delivery on Fridays and Saturdays. Denton has seen its fair share of third party delivery services come and go, but these dudes seem to be the real deal.
The Bowllery is available to deliver healthy food to you Monday through Friday during lunch hours. There is a $30 minimum order fee, though. So next time you're at work and craving a ninja bowl and a smoothie, get a couple of co-workers feeling the same way and The Bowllery will have some food over you ASAP.
Pizza delivery is a wonderful thing. Domino's, Pizza Hut, and Papa John's don't always fit the bill. Jonuzi’s Pizza on Teasley, though, is some of the best pizza you can get in the City of Denton. The space once housed the most holy of all Denton pizza places, the late Si'z. Jonuzi's makes up for Si'z absence, though. Big, east coast style slices that are both delicious and reasonably priced. Grab some and hang out on the patio of Wine Squared with a bottle of wine during their happy hour and thank us later. If Jonuzi's isn't your thing, there's always TJ's or Roman's for some good local pizza delivery.
Mean Green Central Grill is currently delivering burgers, wings, sandwiches, wraps and more from their location on Avenue C.
Fat Shack delivers their particular brand of fried goodness within a three mile radius of their location on South Elm. Order a sandwich, some wings, or even a fried Twinkie when you're craving hits hard. Go with the "Fat DonkeyLips" sandwich.
The always delicious Beirut Mediterranean Grill offers delivery on Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm until 9pm.
This list is bound to change as delivery options come and go. Just this week, Weinberger's changed their name to Denton's Deli and suspended delivery service for the time being. We will do our best to keep this list updated as new businesses and delivery availability changes. Oh yeah, and you can always get some Jimmy John's or Cowboy Chicken delivered to your door, as well.
