WHAT WE DID: JULY 25TH 2016

Someone pressed "refresh" on We Denton Do It. We've got a sight redesign and a fancy new logo from Jude Landry that we've been working on since February. We'll have more on that later, but in the meantime let's jump into this week's content...

What We Did is our weekly roundup of a few of the best photos that have been tagged with #WDDI in the past week on Instagram. This week, we have 19 photos (plus a gallery of photos from a Sofar Sounds show) that give you a good idea of what has been going on in and around Denton recently.

If you'd like to be included in What We Did, tag your images with #WDDI on Instagram, and check back here next Monday. You can search that same hashtag to check out all of the other photos that we were unable to include this week. Click the images below to be led back to the photographer's Instagram page where you can follow them and inevitably slide into their DM's.

Above are five photos from this weekend's Sofar Sounds showcase. The group is attempting to "bring the magic back to live music" by placing artists in intimate venues with limited audiences. Sofar DFW's show in Denton this weekend was held at Discover Denton's new Welcome Center on the square on Sunday evening. The event featured Rat Rios from Dallas, slam poet T. Odis, and Denton trio Cozy Hawks. Each performed five pieces in an intimate showcase in the venue. The entire show was also recorded for Denton Radio. You can try and get in on their next show on August 5th by clicking here

...and we'll end this week with our new logo from Jude Landry again because we like it so much.
