The big event this week is this Friday’s Cannonball Contest / Free Pool Party at the Civic Center Pool on the west side of Quakertown Park. Actual grown men and women will be throwing themselves in “cannon ball” form at the face of the water to raise money for the construction of the Eureka 2 park. It’ll be a good way to cool off one last time before the pools shut down for the winter. There’s lots of other stuff also, but that’s the one to go to. We expect lots of #WDDI’s from this.

To celebrate the final moments of the Civic Center Pool's diving board before the remodel over the winter (and to raise money for the Eureka 2 park project,) we are holding a very serious Cannonball Contest. Should you not possess the skillz necessary to compete in a cannonball contest, we're also throwing a pool party simultaneously! It'll be fun for the whole family. The entry fee is a $5 suggested donation and all proceeds go to the Denton Parks Foundation.
