Tuesday, July 28th
Lil’d Summer Gardening Camp | Calhoun Middle School Garden | Free | 9am
It’s the last week for this program! Explorium Denton hosts this twice-a-week program for children ages 5-11 at the CMS Garden. Come to any or all sessions, but please let them know you’re coming by emailing info@exploriumdenton.org. This event is also happening on Thursday.
Tuesday, July 28th
Star Wars Celebration | Emily Fowler Library | Free | 7pm
All ages are encouraged to don their best Star Wars apparel for this intergalactic celebration of everybody’s favorite saga. May the force be with you!
What Pet Should I Get? | Barnes and Noble | Free |7pm
Not a star wars fan? There’s another event on Tuesday night for pet lovers! All ages are welcome at this interactive story time.
Wednesday, July 29th
School’s out, Scrap’s In | Scrap | $20 | 1-4pm
Seriously this is probably the best deal in town. A hump-day treat to break up the monotonous week now that the kids are all at home for the summer. You won’t regret signing your child(ren) up for every session-yep, it’s EVERY Wednesday afternoon!

Come shop your faves every Wednesday in July for deals and specials just for stopping in. What a great way to break up the week and keep it local.
Cinemark Summer Movie Camp | Cinemark Wind River | $1 | 9:30am
A dollar for a movie? What a great way to beat the heat! Head over to Cinemark on Wednesday or Thursday morning for some cheap movie goodness. For families with children of all ages, this week’s feature film is “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” Cheap kids combo makes for a nice distraction for those kiddos who just won’t sit still. This program continues through August 13.

It’ll be a pop-culture, rhyming good time with fun to be done! All ages are welcome, because everyone loves Dr. Seuss!
Saturday, August 1st
Star Party | RAFES Observatory | $5 | Sunset/8ish
Come join us at the Rafes Urban Astronomy Center on the first Saturday of every month for our Star Party. Learn about the night sky from knowledgeable staff and students, and enjoy an opportunity to see objects in space through our telescopes! Combo deal is also available if you want to catch the earlier Sky Theater show!
