Seriously this is probably the best deal in town, y'all. A hump-day treat to break up the monotonous week now that the kids are all at home for the summer. You won’t regret signing your child(ren) up for every session-yep, it’s EVERY Wednesday afternoon!

Cinemark Summer Movie Camp | Cinemark Wind River | $1 | 9:30am
A dollar for a movie? What a great way to beat the heat! For families with children of all ages, this week’s feature film is Penguins of Madagascar. Cheap kids combo makes for a nice distraction for those kiddos who just won’t sit still. This program continues through August 13. This event is also happening on Thursday.

Friday, July 3rd
Splish Splash Story Time | Waterworks Park | Free | 10am
The library continues this every-Friday series loved by all little children. Be sure to bring sunscreen and be prepared to extract your offspring when the clock strikes 10:45, or pay for readmission into the park.
Home Run Class | Painting with a Twist | $35 | 1-3pm
This class is for baseball fans ages 8 and up. Parents may drop off or stay. Either way you’ll wind up with a treasured piece of art for your home.
Saturday, July 4th
Fourth of July Jubilee | Denton Square and Civic Center | Free | 6:30am
As always, this Independence Day begins with the Liberty Run at 6:30. Don’t run? Stand along the route and cheer! Save some voice for the parade which starts at 8:30, then follow the last parade entry to the huge celebration at the Civic Center.
Workshop | Home Depot | Free | 9am
Crowds not your thing? Home depot will help make this 4th of July memorable for your little person. Just make sure you register in advance. Besides, you really need a Minions scooter.
