Seen and Heard is our weekly events listing of some of the best family friendly events going on in Denton. Don't let a few rain showers get in the way of doing some of the awesome events that Denton has to offer over the next few days. We've got lock-ins, plays, dancing and much more!


Friday, May 22nd

Rockin’ Lock-in | Denton Civic Center | $15 | 7pm-8am

Children ages 5-12 will love this slumber party on steroids, completely supervised by qualified adults at the Civic Center. Games, activities, and a free breakfast are included!

Friday-Sunday, May 22-24th

The Adventures of Stuart Little | Campus Theatre | $10-22 | 7pm, 2pm
This theatre school production of the musical version of the classic EB White tale is sure to please a crowd of theater-goers. Who doesn’t love a personified mouse? Maybe it will even have some sass...

Saturday, May 23rd

Kids Activities | Denton Community Market | Free | 9am-1pm

Stop by the Denton Community Market and visit with One World Day School from 9-1 for an Un-Birthday Party, and hang out from 12-1 for Rockin with Rhett as they perform live children’s music! Stay and shop, and feast on a number of food offerings.

Exo Planets | UNT Planetarium | $3 | 12pm

May’s children’s matinee is Exo Planets, featuring robotic space probes. Discover new worlds through astronomy! Bonus: free parking at UNT on weekends.

Sunday, May 24th

Celtic Dancing | Center for Visual Arts | Free-$1 | 5pm

 

Anyah Martinez is the mother of three busy boys and the founder of Explorium Denton, an emerging children's museum taking shape in Denton.
