The Jewish Wife | UNT, RTFP Building | FREE
UNT’s Dance & Theatre Department in coordination with the Jewish & Israel Studies program brings you ‘The Jewish Wife’ by Bertolt Brecht. This one act play is part of a larger piece of work by Brecht entitled The Private Life of the Master Race. This play is directed by UNT professor Dr. Andy Harris and is free to the public.
Thursday, October 15th
La Vida Latina | Denton County Courthouse on the Square | 6:30pm | FREE
Keynote speaker Mercedes Olivera, a columnist for the Dallas Morning News, brings Hispanic Heritage Month to our backyard (read: the Square). Any aspiring writers and journalists should do themselves a favor and make their way downtown to hear Olivera. Afterwards enjoy a performance by TWU’s Ballet Folklórico.
Spiderweb Salon Presents: Colin Winnette and Sarah Gerard | Paschall | 6pm | FREE
Our friends at the Spiderweb Salon have spun something real nice for ya this week. Join travelling novelists as well as a handful of local performers, writers, and musicians at Paschall for an evening of words and wisdom. As always, please get there on time and don’t be the late one who interrupts the performance, making everyone awkwardly draw their attention towards you - the non-performer. Yeah, just be on time.

Day of the Dead Parade Puppet Workshop | GDAC | 2pm | $15
You wanna make some puppets? Personally, I am terrified of puppets but it is October..so, I guess it makes sense. Plus, these are more than just creepy puppets that may or may not come to - they are Day of the Dead Sugar Skull parade puppets. Join artists Robert Hamilton and Amy Delp as they help participants create fun!
