The "Polar Vortex" is supposed to be back this week and cool things down a bit. We couldn't be happier. Once those 100+ degree temps reared their ugly heads, it almost had us melting. We forget how hot Denton summers are until they actually show up. Oh, well. At least sno-cones exist, right?

West Oak Coffee Bar got some sweet art added to the front and side. The work was done by local artist Dan Black. We actually got a chance to go behind the wood and scope out the space. We'll have more info on that later. Until then, check out this cool pic from @brefkast.

Splash Park Fundraiser at Denton Civic Center Pool
There was a fundraiser for the Denton Splash Park at the Civic Center pool last Thursday night with food trucks, live music, swimming and a whole lot of fun.

Cultivar Coffee will open in Denton this fall alongside Hypnotic Donuts. Until then, they'll be setup inside Recycled on Saturday mornings selling some delicious coffee until they sell out.

The United Way Luncheon
United Way kicked off their new video campaign with a bunch of their supporters, some decent cheesecake and excitement for the upcoming year and the opportunity to give, advocate and volunteer. Check out the video here and see how you can be a part of the community.
