On top of a week full of incredible things to do, possibly the most important thing you can do is vote early. With four of the seven seats up for grabs, this is possibly the most important election in the history of voting. With District 2 being won by 14 votes in the past (seriously, 14 votes, y'all. That's fewer people than were at your band's last show), every single ballot cast this week counts. With only 3% of the city showing up to vote in city elections, nowhere else will you be able to have your vote count so much. Your vote can make a difference. TUESDAY IS THE LAST DAY TO EARLY VOTE. There's still other stuff going on for some reason, though. Let's take a gander...

Glen Farris Fundraising Bash | Oak Street Draft House | 6PM
On May 10th your vote can make a difference. The District 2 race is turning out to be very close and it’s going to take everyone pitching in to push us to the finish line. So come out, have a beer and drop a donation in the hat. There’s also a silent auction and there will probably be speeches made. Editor's Note: Glen wrote this, but we at WDDI love conflicts of interest. Also, he promised me that there'd be a megaphone and those are always fun.

Of course, UNT has a trove of comics in it’s collection at the Willis Library because, why not? This is, after all, Denton. Go get your nerd on and make sure you actually purchase a trade or graphic novel while you're there. Have you read Y: The Last Man yet?

Not bad for a house that cost $8k to build in 1903 and has gone through two fires. There’s a bunch of stories around this residence, do some digging and you’ll be rewarded with a little bit of our rich history.
