Remember when we said voting matters? Well Merry Christmas, George Bailey. Denton has been spared the fate of Pottersville and liquor will run through our brand new roads past our new fire stations and spring up from the the ground from our new splash park and because of our drainage update, will flow past the new tennis courts and into the new wave pool. We’ve always known Denton was an extraordinary town and last night we proved it. We saw 35.35% of registered voters in the county show up at the polls and in true Denton style, the local propositions did not reflect party lines. We care for our community more than we care for lining up with an ideology. Imagine if the state cared more for it’s issues than signing up to get in line behind a color?
