The New York-based photo blog gained popularity due to the emotional and intriguing quotes and interviews that accompanied the images (not to mention their sharable nature). The fine folks at UNT's Fine Arts Series are bringing Stanton to Denton this month. Next Wednesday at 7pm, Stanton will be at the UNT Coliseum talking about the nature of his work in an evening called Humans of New York: An Evening with Brandon Stanton. Denton has a lot of festivals. And while Oaktopia is about to cause all sorts of ruckus in a few weeks, we really enjoy the smaller ones. KDB's Redbud Festival and Denton Main Street's Arts and Autos events are two of our favorite Saturday mornings in Denton year in and year out. This Saturday just so happens to be one of those Saturdays. Arts and Autos (no more antiques - more on that later) is taking over the Denton square this Saturday morning from 9am until 3pm. Yes, the downtown Denton square will be cleared of cars to make room for...tons of cars!
