P.S. Ya know those three posts we ran on Saturday that got a few people upset (i.e. Morrison's Corn-Kits turning into a vape store)? Yeah, those were all April Fool's pranks. So, you can go ahead and put down your pitchforks and rest easy. Spiral Diner will serve delicious vegan fare. Morrison's Corn-Kits will continue to produce corn bread packets (and more). And LSA will continue to be loud (but not THAT loud).

As the Halloween stash of Snickers and Skittles starts to dwindle, we're looking ahead to what should be fall. If only our forecast would get the memo. Either way, there is a ton and a half to do this weekend. (Okay, maybe stash the last of the Starburst in your bag, because you'll need a midday sugar rush to get through it all.) Read on for the 10 things that should make it onto your calendars.

Well, that sure was spooky. Denton, you go all out with costumes. We saw ghosts, ghouls, goblins, Trumps, pumpkins, pumpkin-Trumps, and about a half dozen or so Leslie Knopes out on the streets this weekend. Also, let's take a quick aside to talk about how hard Sundown Blvd. at Ranchman gets down on Halloween. We heard tell of this block of houses that go all out and decided to trek over to South Denton to see what all of the fuss was about and we were not disappointed. Streets covered in fog, men with chainsaws chasing teenagers, and houses decorated to the nines were just a few of the things that make that area a trick-or-treaters paradise. We will definitely hit it up next year. Y'all know of any Denton neighborhoods that have them beat in terms of All Hallow's Eve?
What We Did is our weekly roundup of photos that WDDI staff and readers have taken over the past seven days. We've got 22 of our favorite images from the past week in Denton, TX below. Most of 'em are Halloween-specific (how could they not be?), but you'll find a few non-spooky ones there, too.

So that recent Instagram update has really tinkered around with the looks of What We Did. We love the new non-square images and the higher resolution makes us even happier. So, keep up the good work, y'all!
What We Did is our weekly roundup of photos that WDDI staff and readers have taken over the past seven days. We've got 21 of our favorite images from the past week in Denton, TX below. In this group, we've got plenty of scenes from Saturday's car show on the square, Gathering Day at Weldon's, and much more. It was a busy week, to say the least. The sub 95 temps had Dentonites outdoors in droves and we were all less sweaty and smelly than we have been for the past three months.

Summer is almost over and if you’ve not got your plans together to blow it, don’t worry, we’ve got plenty of things you can get into. This week, possibly the most intriguing event is the Goliad kickoff party at Dan’s. It’s a “media production house” according to the site (which really is beautiful and I recommend checking it out). It seems to be reminiscent and connected to the Porch scene so we’re hoping for good things. Remember y’all, life is short, hashtag WDDI.

Another summer is underway and we’re just now realizing how hard it is to get out of bed at a decent time when the sun is still up at 9PM and there’s so many people to see and things to do. The hot, humid weather has moved in and hopefully all our major summer travel plans have been made so now it’s time to fill in the gaps with things like Twilight Tunes on Thursday’s on the square and any number of shows and get togethers that are happening. Remember to document your travels and adventures by using hashtag #WDDI.
