Denton has a lot of festivals. And while Oaktopia is about to cause all sorts of ruckus in a few weeks, we really enjoy the smaller ones. KDB's Redbud Festival and Denton Main Street's Arts and Autos events are two of our favorite Saturday mornings in Denton year in and year out. This Saturday just so happens to be one of those Saturdays. Arts and Autos (no more antiques - more on that later) is taking over the Denton square this Saturday morning from 9am until 3pm. Yes, the downtown Denton square will be cleared of cars to make room for...tons of cars! Check out some of our favorite aspects of the event in the post below so you can make the most of your time there!

Underneath a cloud-spotted sky and the downtown courthouse, a small group of dedicated workers toil away on one of the often-overlooked gems of the Square. It was one of those humid January mornings that you’d only get in Texas, but the muggy weather wouldn’t stop a group of local green thumbs from rising early and getting to work.

Down the street, around the corner, and up a tiny alleyway lies a little taco shop that we seriously dig. Flatlander's Tacos moved in just around a year ago as they made the leap from food truck to brick and mortar. Now that we don't have to track them down on twitter, we've been working our way through the menu, trying everything out just for you. (Okay, also because tacos.) Read on to find out what our favorite thing between two slices of bread is right now and why your life sucks if you aren't eating their churros on the regular.
