Underneath a cloud-spotted sky and the downtown courthouse, a small group of dedicated workers toil away on one of the often-overlooked gems of the Square. It was one of those humid January mornings that you’d only get in Texas, but the muggy weather wouldn’t stop a group of local green thumbs from rising early and getting to work.

A group which calls itself A United Denton will host a rally at the Historic Denton Courthouse 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. January 21, 2017. The event is free, inclusive, and open to everyone. The group considers the rally to be in solidarity with the Women’s March on Washington, scheduled on the same day.

Going Green before it was a thing, the Whitehawk community were ahead of their time even back in the day.

We can really only write about how much we like Boca 31 and Komodo Loco and dislike construction on University so much before we start to repeat ourselves. I am writing this now because I may or may not have spent most of New Year’s Day recovering from New Year’s Eve.
I certainly considered being a bigger person and taking it easy so that I could wake up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and get a workout in on the very first day of the year, but here we are. I will make no excuses…Is it still fair to blame it on 2016 though?
